Noatum Ports Safaga Terminal is a new greenfield multipurpose facility on Egypt’s Red Sea coast, set to open in second half of 2026. As part of Noatum Ports, it offers a strategic location with direct access to key trade routes across the Middle East, East Africa, and Asia. Designed to handle containers, dry bulk, general cargo and Ro-Ro cargo, the terminal provides flexible logistics solutions. It connects to key industrial, agricultural, and mining zones in Upper Egypt and will serve the planned Golden Triangle economic zone. The terminal is backed by strong government and industry collaboration and is being developed with a focus on innovation, regional connectivity, and environmental responsibility—aligned with AD Ports Group’s vision for smart and sustainable infrastructure.

Strategically positioned on Egypt’s Red Sea coast, the Noatum Ports Safaga Terminal is poised to become a premier, high-capacity, multipurpose logistics gateway connecting Upper Egypt to global trade routes. Scheduled to commence operations in 2026, the terminal offers state-of-the-art infrastructure and seamless multimodal connectivity. It is designed to support a diverse range of operations, including container, dry bulk, liquid bulk, general cargo, and Ro-Ro operations.

Container Services
Noatum Ports Safaga Terminal boasts an annual capacity of approximately 450,000 TEUs, offering efficient container handling, secure on-terminal storage, and reefer plug capacity for temperature-controlled cargo. The terminal features an 80,354 m² container yard, modern equipment, and robust inland transport links, ensuring quick vessel turnaround and reliable cargo flow throughout Egypt and beyond.

Bulk and General Cargo Services
The terminal can manage 5 million tonnes of dry and general cargo annually, featuring a dedicated handling area of 66,360 m² and a 48,000 m² concrete apron. These facilities accommodate a diverse range of commodities, such as industrial materials, agricultural products, and construction inputs, offering tailored storage solutions and direct delivery services.

Liquid Bulk Services
Noatum Ports Safaga Terminal is designed to handle up to 1 million tonnes of liquid bulk annually, ensuring the safe and efficient import and export of oil, chemicals, and other fluid commodities. Dedicated pipelines and advanced safety systems will support operational excellence in this segment.

Ro-Ro Services
The terminal features a specialized Ro-Ro berth capable of processing over 50,000 CEU annually. It is equipped with secure parking zones and efficient inland trucking routes, ensuring smooth handling of vehicles, trucks, and heavy equipment, with rapid delivery to destination points.

Noatum Ports Safaga Terminal is strategically located along Egypt’s southern gateway on the Red Sea, providing direct access to major trade lanes connecting the Middle East, East Africa, and Asia. The terminal offers seamless hinterland connectivity to Upper Egypt’s key industrial, agricultural, and mining zones.
