Noatum Ports Sagunto Terminal strengthens its operations with the addition of a new Liebherr LHM 550 crane

Noatum Ports Sagunto Terminal has acquired a new Liebherr LHM 550 mobile harbour crane, a strategic investment that reinforces our commitment to operational excellence and the competitiveness of the Port of Sagunto.

With a reach of 54 metres, the LHM 550 is the ideal solution for handling bulk cargo on Capesize vessels and for container operations on New-Panamax ships. In addition, its capacity to lift heavy loads of up to 154 tonnes broadens our service capabilities, providing greater flexibility and efficiency for our customers.

This acquisition forms part of the investments committed to the Port Authority as part of the extension of our concession in Sagunto. Noatum Ports has been managing this concession for more than 30 years, continuously investing to position the Port of Sagunto as one of Spain’s leading ports and to ensure the highest quality of service.

The new crane adds to the recent purchase of six additional pieces of equipment to enhance operational performance:

  • 2 coil stackers, designed for the efficient transport and stacking of coils.
  • 2 multi stackers, versatile machinery for handling containers and steel coils.
  • 2 forklifts with a 32-tonne capacity, for the handling of coils and pallets.

With these investments, we reaffirm our commitment to offering advanced port solutions, tailored to our customers’ needs and focused on maximum efficiency and safety.
